“This is is forced population transfer. This is ethnic cleansing. This is a crime against humanity under the Geneva Conventions. Another war crime on top of the mountain of war crimes already committed with your bombs!” says Ahmed.
Describing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “the world’s most wanted man” and “a fugitive” who is currently on the run from the International Criminal Court, Ahmed says instead of being welcomed as a guest, “He should be facing trial! He should be locked up!”
Israel has killed more 60,000 Palestinians in its genocide on Gaza, including Ahmed’s own family who were killed in an Israeli bombardment in October 2023 on his home in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
Reaffirming the centrality of Gaza to the wider defence of international law and human rights across the world today, Ahmed says:
“Now the world must rise up to defend Gaza like never before. To end Israel’s occupation. To save international law. To defend the moral fabric of our collective humanity.”
